Job Summary

The Accounting Specialist plays a critical role in managing and executing key accounting operations at the local level, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. This position involves leading audit coordination, overseeing payroll processes, and performing detailed financial reconciliations and reporting. Operating autonomously, the specialist collaborates closely with internal teams and external partners to uphold financial integrity and accuracy across all activities.

Essential duties and responsibilities as an Accounting Specialist at Royal Canin Nordics

• Financial Management and Compliance:
  Oversee bookkeeping in compliance with local laws, manage end-of-period closing activities, and ensure accuracy in accrual calculations and postings.
• Regulatory Reporting and Auditing:
  Lead internal and external audits, submit required fiscal and labor reports, and advise on tax matters in coordination with the Internal Corporate Tax Compliance (ICTC).
• Payroll and Reconciliation Oversight:
  Approve and reconcile payroll processes and conduct comprehensive balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations using the Blackline Platform.
• Statutory Reporting and Financial Approvals:
  Handle statutory reporting to authorities and authorize sales orders and general journal entries.
• Ad hoc Analysis:
  Provide analytical support and respond to special requests as needed.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's or Master´s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required;
  a Master's degree is highly valued.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience, ideally within an international corporate setting or as an Auditor
• Proficient understanding of accounting procedures and principles.
• Highly organized and meticulous, with a transparency-oriented approach to work.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a hands-on attitude.
• Excellent proficiency in English, both written and verbal. Fluency in a Scandinavian language (Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian) will be considered a significant asset.
