Who We Are Looking For
We seek an individual to fill the Corrosion Engineer role with some exposure to Fitness for Service management. You should have experience as corrosion engineer with a chemical, chemical engineering, materials, or metallurgical background.
It is crucial that you approach the job with a strong safety mindset and a deep understanding of the business and people. You will thrive in a highly independent and visible position within a dynamic working environment. Technical skills and negotiation abilities are essential. Additionally, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are vital for combining a holistic business view with concrete initiatives. We are looking for a strong team player who can build relationships and work collaboratively to achieve business goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Metallurgical, or similar)
  • Higher qualifications and/or practical knowledge in Corrosion Engineering (MSc or NACE Senior Corrosion Technologist), Welding Engineering, or Fitness for Service assessments (API 579) are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential for this role.
  • Ideally, 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar function, preferably in Exploration &
    Production (E&
    P).
  • Proficiency in oral and written English.


Activities
As a Corrosion Engineer in the Inspection team, you will play a central role with significant influence in technical authority. Your responsibilities will include material selection, coatings, and corrosion protection systems. You will continuously develop your competencies to ensure effective corrosion mitigation and control. Using your expertise, you will generate clear and concise reports, conduct planned and ad-hoc inspections, and extend the remaining life of aging assets in the Danish part of the North Sea. Y ou will have the responsibility of contributing to the efficiency of the Corrosion Management System
Your tasks will also involve:

  • Regularly reviewing corrosion-monitoring and inspection results to assess the corrosion development and integrity status.
  • Executing corrosion-monitoring operations, evaluating results, and providing a global assessment of corrosion development.
  • Collaborating with colleagues from Inspection, Production Chemistry, Process Engineering, Production, and Maintenance.
  • Providing advice on material selection and corrosion protection measures.
  • Assisting in failure investigations related to corrosion or material issues to prevent recurring equipment failures.
  • Occasional offshore travel may be required.
