DNB's Santiago office opened in 2008 and we are the only Scandinavian bank with a Latin America presence outside Brazil. Our office focuses on Seafood, as well as Energy &
Infrastructure sectors in South America.

We are currently 10 employees in the office, and we focus on large corporate customers in the region within our main industries, as well as Nordic and International Corporations based in Chile. We are a leading bank within our sectors in the Latin American markets and a key discussion partner for renewable companies in South America. Our Energy Department is committed to financing innovative projects that contribute to a greener and more sustainable future.

Job Summary:

Be responsible for the bank’s Energy portfolio in South America following up on the project finance portfolio out of Santiago while working together with the local and global teams to promote DNB in the region within this industry. Staying up-to-speed with the market developments in the region and facilitating good co-operation with the local Client Advisor and other Client Managers in addition to the rest of the Santiago office.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the existing portfolio in cooperation with the other Client Managers.
  • Be responsible for a defined customer portfolio within the Energy portfolio in Santiago and pitching for new opportunities.
  • Participate in structuring and execution of Project Finance transactions.
  • Lead the credit approval process.
  • Ensure proper follow up of the portfolio in line with transaction documents, internal regulations and be pro-active to any opportunities that may arise in the portfolio and any weakness that may affect specific deals or clients.
  • Prepare Industry presentations.
  • Follow the matrix organization of DNB Santiago ensuring that tasks are solved efficiently working with all relevant entities in Oslo, NY and Santiago ranging from IBD, to Group Risk, LCI and Operations.

Competence requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree
  • English language fluent
  • Fluency in Spanish is a strong plus
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • High Flexibility to travel

Experience:

  • Around 10 years of relevant project finance experience
  • Energy sector-related experience
