Financial Planning & Analysis Manager – Public Segment Finance Team

The Public Segment Finance team is looking for a new Financial Planning &
Analysis Manager (FP&
A manager) located in Aarhus (Denmark). You will play a crucial role in ensuring the Public segment's financial success through consistent, timely, and reliable budgets, and strategic analysis. You enjoy guiding our companies towards reaching their financial objectives by your sharp business analysis and diligent advice on monthly reporting. You’ll work closely with professional finance leaders in an international environment, and get the opportunity to grow professionally everyday!

Responsibilities

In order to be successful in this role you have previous experience in:

• The basics:
  Make sure the Public management team has consistent, timely and reliable data at hand to guide the segment towards our financial goals.

• Getting dirty:
  Deliver the annual budget, deliver monthly management reports, work with the finance leads and MD’s of the companies to highlight improvements.
• Trusted advisor &
  sparring partner:
  Support the (Danish) companies in their monthly reporting, financial forecast and yearly budgeting process
• Lead the future’s growth:
  Perform Finance dd’s in M&
  A processes in the Nordics and the Netherlands and ensure the finance onboarding of new companies into our finance function and framework
  

Stakeholders:

• Segment management team:
  Correct and timely reporting, budgets, strategic analysis.
• Business units:
  Assist finance directors for the business units in understanding of key metrics, how to present them to their boards and how they affect the financial forecasts.
• Visma finance function:
  Work closely with the group FP&
  A function to ensure common understanding of definitions, zero duplication of work and joint improvements to our reporting stack.
  

Success criteria

• Accuracy and timeliness of reporting packs, including transparent annual budgeting process.
• Pro-activeness in follow-up of financial targets for the segment.
• Quality improvement and automation of the tools and processes used in the segment to track performance.
  

Who are you?

The groundwork:

• Masters degree in economics, finance, or similar
• Excellent communication skills, with English fluency written and oral
• A background in accountancy could be an interesting background for this position
  

Foundation:

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles (Visma/IFRS/Local GAAP)
• Consolidation knowledge
• Software market and product knowledge

Passion:

• Passion for technology and knowledge of software development processes.
• Fundamental understanding of customers, market drivers, pricing models, competitive landscape and products in the IT industry.
• Fundamental understanding of how metrics and key performance indicators enhance and support decision making processes.

Personal traits:

• Enjoys continuous improvement.
• Understands and revels in process automation.
• Analytical problem solver, with the capability and desire to ask critical questions.

• Strong in building relations with the finance leads of our business units

About Public Segment

One of the critical pillars of Visma’s success over the past 20 years has been tight financial control. The finance function in Visma consists of controllers at many levels of the organisation, who with professional integrity, guard our reporting regime so that our financial figures are correct, timely and usable. As a value-add to the basic financials, this function maintains and improves datasets from financial statements, invoicing data, customer data and market data, to calculate likely and unlikely outcomes of our strategic choices, and is our bullshit filter for our strategic and tactical decisions.

The Public segment in the Visma group is currently responsible for about 650MEUR revenue, mostly in the Nordic countries and in the Netherlands. Currently about 50 legal units are consolidated into this segment. Our mission is to help societies deliver their services by providing state of the art software for municipalities, schools, governments and (healthcare) organisations.

The FP&
A Manager for the Publicsegment joins a team of two finance colleagues, and will work closely with the Managing Director of the larger companies in our segment located in Denmark. The role will report to the FP&
A director for the Public Segment.
