The position
As the Head of IFP Communication, you will play a key role in developing the largest SVP area in Novo Nordisk, ensuring clear communication that establishes a shared direction across all IFP in a meaningful and engaging manner, working alongside the central IFP communication team and the local Communication Partners at the sites.

The position encompasses a wide range of tasks and will require various competencies, including but not limited to:

  • SVP Communication Partner:
    Acting as a trusted and proactive sparring partner to the SVP of IFP and his management team. You will be responsible for creating, managing, and executing a comprehensive strategic communication plan for IFP in collaboration with the communication team. This includes aligning the communication strategy with the goals and objectives of both IFP and Novo Nordisk.
  • Leading the Communication area in IFP:
    Setting priorities and establishing the communication agenda across IFP. You will serve as the daily leader of the central IFP Communication team (2-3 FTEs) and be accountable for the IFP Communication Network, which includes local communication partners across the global network of sites and support functions.
  • Change Management Communication:
    Spearheading communication efforts related to organizational change initiatives, such as mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and process improvements. Developing and implementing communication strategies to effectively manage change, minimize resistance, and ensure employees are informed and engaged throughout the transition process. This involves crafting messaging, addressing concerns, and fostering a culture of transparency to support successful change adoption across the organization.
  • Content Creation and Management:
    Developing, planning and executing inspiring internal events and content like live streams, roadshows and our annual leadership summit
  • Public Affairs:
    Collaborating with Novo Nordisk Public Affairs and ensuring all external communication complies with internal guidelines.

You will report to the Director of IFP Executive Office. You will be responsible for the IFP Communication Network and be part of the Novo Nordisk Global Communicators’ Network and other informal networks.

Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should have:

  • An educational background in communication or a closely related field, combined with a minimum of ten years of experience as a communication professional.
  • A strong track record in leadership communication, change management, and event planning/execution as well as Project management experience, for example, in delivering communication strategies/plans and ensuring implementation.
  • Excellence in creating clear, precise communication, visually appealing presentations, videos, and articles that captivate the interest of the audience and you are well-versed in Office 365 features (including SharePoint, Yammer, Teams).
  • Experience in advising leaders on communication issues and in selecting and using effective communication tools and channels.
  • Strong journalistic and editorial skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different groups and clarify complex matters.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.

You are a strategic thinker and are ambitious on behalf of the communication profession. With your independent and result-oriented approach, you tackle tasks with structure, energy, curiosity, and a positive attitude.

You possess excellent stakeholder management skills and have a talent for simplifying complex business challenges into easily understandable communications. Leading a small and agile team, you enjoy delivering on various communication tasks with short deadlines while also being responsible for developing and implementing larger strategic communication initiatives and events.

You function as a trusted and proactive sparring partner, providing competent input and content to senior leaders. Simultaneously, you derive energy from crafting key messages and producing creative content, such as PowerPoint presentations, video updates, and live stream events.

About the area and the team
Injectable Finished Products (IFP) is the largest SVP area in Novo Nordisk, with over 9,000 employees globally across four continents. The IFP Executive Office is part of IFP Business Development and Support, located in the Bagsværd HQ. It is an international and high-performing area consisting of more than 50 people from approximately 18 different countries. The IFP Executive Office is responsible for driving the IFP strategy process and development, communication, strategic projects, and providing executive support for the IFP management.
