Do you want to lead and develop the recruitment agenda in a growth organisation? Are you passionate about attracting talented hourly-paid skilled technicians? And is the next step on your career path to lead a global team of recruitment professionals focusing on delivering skilled technicians to wind power projects? Then you might be the next Head of Recruitment at Global Wind Service. The position is based either at our headquarters in Fredericia in Denmark or at our UK office in Lowestoft. This is a unique opportunity to become part of an international organisation in a strategically important position as recruitment plays a pivotal role in the future growth journey of the company.


Focus on daily operations and long-term strategic initiatives within recruitment and employer branding
Reporting directly to the CHRO, you will lead an international team of recruitment professionals delivering skilled technical manpower to projects. As Head of Recruitment your primary role will be to ensure continuous improvement of all aspects of the talent acquisition process. Furthermore, you will drive operational recruitment performance and talent acquisition activities towards the Operations and the HR Business Partner teams. Overall, your focus will be on the daily operations as well as the long-term strategic development of the recruitment function, and you will also take responsibility within attraction related elements in connection to the employer branding area. Your key responsibilities will be:



  • Owning recruitment planning and strategy relating to skilled wind turbine technicians and ensuring short, medium and long-term strategies for recruitment of qualified technicians
  • Owning recruitment of the two entry programs, delivering skilled candidates starting their transition into the wind industry
  • Advising the CHRO on development initiatives within the recruitment area
  • Ensuring and executing the capacity model, ramp-up plans, dashboards and KPIs enabling timely and data-driven decisions
  • Continuous development and improvements of both processes and tools related to the recruitment area
  • Improving efficiency, global alignment, and candidate experience (KPIs, execution, and follow-up)
  • Owning candidate-facing employer branding, initiating and ensuring proper activities in relevant markets based on business needs and recruitment strategy
  • Managing the Recruitment Team located at multiple locations within the EU (Poland, Romania) and the UK


As you are managing an international team, you should expect travel activity equivalent to approx. 30 travel days a year.


Strong people manager with international experience recruiting skilled technicians
You probably hold a degree in human resources management or equivalent, but international recruitment experience, a pragmatic business-oriented mindset, and the right personality are more important to us. You might be working in an international company today, but you may also come from a management position in a recruitment agency, where you have recruited hourly paid technicians. With some years of experience as a manager, maybe as a team lead, this could be the next natural step on your career path. Furthermore, you are confident, or are motivated by, developing recruitment processes that support the overall strategy and context. You can challenge the status quo and are capable of looking into the recruitment tools and processes of the future and taking them to the next level. Moreover, you have solid experience with recruiting both blue and white-collar workers and building a talent pipeline for both. Having leaded an international team before is an advantage but not a requirement.


As a person, you are solution-oriented and practical as well as informal, and you can view situations from your employee’s perspective. You are persistent, and you dare to challenge at all levels, exchanging opinions and ideas for development initiatives. You understand the mechanisms in a dynamic business and can adapt to changes, and you are visible in your approach to growth ambitions. Finally, you master both written and spoken English.
