Health, Safety, Environment, Security and Quality Advisor role supporting the Orbex Rocket engine design and production facility in Copenhagen as well as our test site in Faxe.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the implementation of the safety management system and safe systems of work in line with statutory obligations.
  • Work closely with operational team to support the development and monitoring of safe systems of work and risk assessments to ensure all project activities are adequately planned and executed.
  • Lead and influence H&
    S culture across all Orbex sites.
  • Support the Quality Department as needed by preparing and conducting internal quality audits.
  • Support the Security Department as needed by preparing and expediting Export documentation and site security.
  • Support and engage the workforce in the identification of occupational health safety and environmental risk and coach them in risk mitigation.
  • Promote and reinforce positive attitudes and behaviours amongst the workforce.
  • Ensure projects operate in compliance with all statutory requirements and best practice.
  • Highlight and Advise on Health and safety related issues.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and instruction in all health &
    safety matters to Management, Safety representatives and employees.
  • Support coordinate and lead (as necessary) the investigation of incidents to ensure effective learning outcomes and timely closure of actions.
  • Identify staff training requirements and deliver appropriate training.
  • Promote the Company mission of being a healthy, incident and injury free workplace.
  • Liaise with enforcement authorities and Client representative on companies’ behalf.
  • Ensure H&
    S management systems forOrbex are implemented and maintained.
  • Adherence to relevant Danish, Environmental, Health &
    Safety statutory provisions &
    legislation
  • Coordination in the development of Risk Assessments and Task Risk Assessments.
  • Carry out regular audits and inspection, document reports and establish corrective and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence and continuous improvements.
  • Good safety practices are managed &
    maintained.
  • Induction &
    training is coordinated, managed &
    maintained.
  • Project PPE is resourced &
    available.
  • Compile &
    carry out Toolbox talks, and safety meeting as necessary.


What you will bring:

  • 3 years minimum Health and Safety experience, NIBOSH or Equivalent qualifications preferred. Experience working with ATEX or Explosive atmospheres would be highly beneficial.
  • Innovative and forward thinking
  • Effective communicator in English and fluent Danish
  • Ability to critically think, risk assess and review options to identify the right solution.
  • Proven knowledge of H&
    S and Environmental legislation and good practise.
  • Internal Auditor qualifications
  • Ability to efficiently manage all health and safety issues on site.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal communication and computer skills.
  • Personal Competencies and Qualifications:
  • Full driver’s license preferable.

Location
This role is based in Copenhagen at Orbex’s Danish propulsion engineering and manufacturing site in Copenhagen although frequent travel to our test site in Faxe will be a requirement.
You will be spending time both at the factory and our nearby rocket engine testing site, with occasional travel to our main factory, test and launch sites in Scotland.

Security
You must be a UK or European citizen, or from a country that is a signatory to the MTCR convention.
