Junior Financial Controller

Here’s what the job entails

In the role, your main focus will be to support with various monthly reporting tasks.

Your areas of responsibility will include the following:

• help prepare monthly and yearly reports for our subsidiaries and quarterly reports for our parent company, Equinor
• monitor internal monthly reporting tasks in Group Finance using SharePoint
• improve data and build models to automise our processes
• keep track of important events, such as reporting deadlines
• support ad hoc tasks in the Financial Controlling team

Meet the team

As our new Junior Financial Controller, you will join our Financial Controlling team. We are responsible for making sure Danske Commodities’ financial reporting is efficient and of high quality, for both internal and external stakeholders. We also act as internal advisors when DC starts new business activities or enters new market areas.

You will be part of a team of 10 dedicated colleagues with a different skills, all focused on financial reporting. We are a mix of new graduates and experienced colleagues, so joining us is a great chance to learn from your colleagues. But enough about us… over to you!

Since you will sometimes have to work on tight deadlines with lots of people involved, we are looking for someone who is organised. Also, since we have a lot of responsibility and need to find the best solutions, we picture you as someone who sees opportunities where others might see limitations.

We also imagine that you:

• are studying something related to Finance, Economics, Auditing or similar
• know your way around Excel
• are keen to learn coding languages like SQL and VBA – or maybe you already know a bit about them
• are interested in financial reporting, analysis and controlling tasks (like accounting and consolidation tools)
• are proficient in English – both written and verbal

Please note that it is not a requirement to have prior knowledge of the energy industry to enter this role.
