We are currently looking for our next Omni Operations Finance Specialist to join our Global Commercial Finance team in our Global Office in Copenhagen.

The mission of the Omni Operations Finance Specialist is to provide advice and challenge to the Omni Operations team for one of our regional distribution centers (DCs) to help drive and impact business performance. He/she works closely with DC and Clusters management to drive priorities and projects. The Omni Operations Finance Specialist provides analysis and recommendations for efficiencies, cost cutting opportunities and similar. Thus, the Omni Operations Finance Specialist will be a key player in driving commercial excellence.

The Omni Operations Finance Specialist is forward looking and creates value by improving the quality of decisions, which are made through insights and challenge. The function plays a central role in the budget process and acts as a facilitating interface in enabling reliable forecasting and actionable insights through collaboration with Clusters and DCs.

The role requires a combination of business acumen, understanding of commercial finance, functional insights into logistics performance management, as well as business partnering skills.

The key accountabilities include, but not limited to:

  • Act as the Finance business partner to the Managing Director and leadership team of the assigned DC, and to Cluster Finance management within the region served by the DC
  • Own the “cost-to-serve” budget/forecast and financial performance management for the DC including preparation of Business Performance Review (BPR) deck
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of monthly DC financials through collaboration with Operations and GBS
  • Facilitate the identification of efficiencies and costs savings through a deep understanding of drivers of logistics costs
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls of Finance processes
  • Act the guardian of finance data quality in the logistics cost area, building guidelines and enforcing them in cooperation with GBS.
  • Support the Long Range Planning (LRP) process and distribution network studies

An Analytical and Collaborative Finance Business Partner

You must also have the ability and willingness to both collaborate cross-functionally in a team environment, and autonomously to secure business results.

In addition, we would like you to have:

  • Business partnering skills obtained from the management of strong senior stakeholders or from general project management
  • Strong attention to detail, with good presentation and influencing skills
  • Ability to communicate issues to senior management in an effective manner
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Finance function, preferably in Commercial/Operations Finance
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within Finance, Accounting, Audit, Logistics, Supply Chain or similar
  • Professional proficiency in English and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint &
    Excel)
  • Experience in Supply Chain/Logistics and/or Oracle Hyperion are a plus, but not required

Your new team
The Global Omni Operations Finance team consists of a Team Lead and 3 Business Partners each supporting the Managing Directors and their Leadership Teams for our 3 main Distribution Centres in US, Germany, and Thailand. We support the Global Omni Operations team in providing financial business partnering and proactive analytics to drive development and efficiencies in our distribution/logistics setup and POSM costs. In the team, we value open and positive communication. We work from a continuous improvement mindset where time between work peaks is invested in improving processes and quality of our deliverables.
