Job description
As a global company with an organisation spanning multiple countries compliance is essential to all the work we do in P&
C. SimCorp is currently undergoing a process to further mature our compliance set-up, which brings more complex tasks across topics such as data privacy, sanctions screenings and process documentation. In addition, the legislative landscape is constantly developing, and we need for our processes and policies to be not only aligned across locations but also fully aligned with current and future local and EU legislation.

As our People Compliance Counsel, you will be working in our Copenhagen office as part of our Global Mobility &
Compliance team in People &
Culture. The team consists of five people located in Denmark, India, Poland and Germany. The team is responsible for supporting all cross-border work, employment and moves, but also on legal processes and policies such as GDPR, Working Time/Time registration and other relevant topics. With this new position in the team, we will be expanding our scope to more compliance topics.

This role is a unique opportunity for someone who is eager to be the main point of contact for several compliance topics and to be our legal sparring partner as we support our organisation as we scale, mature our processes as we grow to 4,500 people in the next 2 years.

Compliance in a global organisation
As our People Compliance Counsel, you will work closely together with our People &
Culture leadership teamand our Legal department. You will develop, implement and oversee our compliance framework and necessary supporting processes, to ensure compliance and prepare P&
C for internal audit.

You will collaborate with our different P&
C teams and provide guidance and sparring to ensure the organization stay compliant.

You will be the main responsible for global compliance related matters, but you can also act as sparring partner to our local People Business Partners for local matters, if you have the relevant experience. We will expect for you to support on Employee Relations in Denmark when needed.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Owner of our GDPR policy – internal expert in P&
    C, working on our ROPAs and policy
  • Owner of our background check policy and to provide sparring to our colleague in India initiating all checks
  • P&
    C point of contact for Sanctions screenings and owner of the P&
    C process
  • Monitor relevant new legislation (EU and DK) and secure implementation in our policies and processes
  • Ensure that our IT systems and tools are used in a compliant manner

Your qualifications
As our preferred candidate you:

  • Have a degree in law or commercial law
  • Have experience with relevant compliance and legal topics, such as data protection, employee relations etc. – and are curious to learn about those topics, you might be less familiar with
  • Have experience with documenting processes and implementing new policies
  • Have extensive English communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Have a good understanding of commercial issues and are able to balance the need for sound business advice with the need for maintaining a high standard of advice

To work in this role, you should have significant interpersonal skills and enjoy working both independently and in teams.
