In Denmark, we are delivering five Just Catch 100 units to Ørsted, in the Netherlands one Just Catch 100 unit to Twence, and in Norway a Big Catch to Heidelberg Materials

What will you be doing?

The Quality Inspector is ACC's on-site inspector to follow up our suppliers and their work at construction site. The Quality Inspector is part of the Construction Team and collaborates with ACC's Supervisors and suppliers Inspectors/Supervisors.

Construction Quality Inspector will take active part in making sure that the fabrication and installation work activities provided by Contractors / Subcontractors on Site, meet the Project's set of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Requirements

Requirements

Welding Quality Inspection:

  • Visual Inspection:
    Examine welds to evaluate their quality and adherence to acceptance criteria
  • Review Technical Requirements:
    Ensure compliance with specified welding procedures, standards, and codes
  • Inspect Welding Personnel:
    Verify the qualifications and certifications of welders and welding coordinators
  • Inspect Welding Equipment:
    Check the condition, calibration, and suitability of welding machines and tools
  • Evaluate Procedures:
    Review welding procedures, work instructions, and other relevant documentation
  • Monitor Welding Consumables:
    Ensure proper storage, handling, and traceability of welding materials
  • Maintain Quality Records:
    Review inspection results, non-conformities, and corrective actions

Surface Quality Inspection:

  • Visual Examination:
    Inspect surfaces for defects, irregularities, and deviations from specifications
  • Surface Preparation:
    Verify proper cleaning, coating application, and finishing techniques
  • Dimensional Checks:
    Measure surface features (e.G., roughness, flatness, thickness) using appropriate tools
  • Traceability:
    Ensure proper labelling and identification of surfaces
  • Record Keeping:
    Maintain accurate records of surface inspections and any necessary rework

Welding Inspection Knowledge and Skills:

  • Non-Destructive Testing (NDT):
    Understand various NDT methods such as ultrasonic testing (UT), radiographic testing (RT), magnetic particle inspection (MPI), and dye penetrant inspection (DPI)
  • Welding Codes and Standards:
    Good knowledge of industry standard used for welding and inspection
  • Weld Discontinuities:
    Recognize common weld defects (e.G., cracks, porosity, lack of fusion) and their causes
  • Weld Metallurgy:
    Comprehend the behaviour of different metals during welding, heat treatment, and cooling
  • Drawing/ISO Interpretation:
    Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and specifications
  • Quality Assurance Procedures:
    Understand quality control processes, documentation, and compliance requirements

Surface Inspection Knowledge and Skills:

  • Visual Inspection Techniques:
    Assess surface quality, cleanliness, and finishing
  • Surface Preparation:
    Know proper techniques for cleaning, coating application, and surface treatment
  • Dimensional Checks:
    Measure surface features (e.G., roughness, flatness, thickness) using appropriate tools
  • Material Knowledge:
    Understand different materials (metals, coatings, composites) and their behaviour
  • Traceability and Labelling:
    Ensure proper identification and labelling of surfaces
  • Quality Records Management:
    Review and understand records of surface inspections and any necessary rework

Your Qualifications

  • Previous operational experience within Inspection of weld and surface work at site
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Experience in collaboration with Clients, subcontractors, and other representatives at site
  • One or more of the certification courses IWI/CSWIP/AWS/IIW
  • Frosio certification
  • Technical background and relevant work experience may supersede educational requirements
  • HSE Training (first aid)
  • Fluent in English
  • Denmark:
    must have completed the Danish Health and Safety Training Programme
