R&D Engineer – Aalborg

For generations, we have been dedicated to building and developing high-quality pumps for cargo handling and fueling the vessel's engine. Our specialty is cryogenic pump solutions for green transition energy sources and Power-to-X.

YOUR PRIMARY WORK FOCUS WILL BE THE DEVELOPMENT AND DESIGN OF NEW PUMP SOLUTIONS, INCLUDING:

• R&
  D engineering work (Research and development)
• FEA/FEM analysis
• CFD analysis
• Analysis and optimization of existing solutions, design for manufacturing
• Close cooperation with Sales and Service in relation to customer needs
• Cooperation with our R&
  D colleagues etc. developing new technologies.
• Lab-Testing of tech solutions

Together with 25+ competent positive, and diverse engineers/technicians in Svanehøj’s technology functions your job will be in the R&
D department that researches new technologies and develops new products for our valued customers.

Our team consists of highly skilled and inspiring colleagues, and we use the latest tools to develop the most valuable solutions for our customers. Svanehøj has a remarkable track record and tremendous potential for growth, especially in the expanding market of green technologies for the shipping industry and Power-to-X.

The tasks are versatile, and we work independently as well as in project-oriented teams. Our organization is super flexible, and decisions are made fast. We are continuously in close dialog with both colleagues inside the organization, customers, and suppliers to provide the best solutions for our customers.

Together with Engineering and Automation Our R&
D department serves as the technology knowledge center for other departments in Svanehøj, like Sales, Project Management, Procurement, and Production. Additionally, we have our own Innovation Lab where we create prototypes and test our new ideas for future products.

YOU ARE EDUCATED ENGINEER WITH SPECIALIZATION IN MECHANICAL DESIGN AND YOU HAVE:

• a strong R&
  D mindset.
• an Inventor type mindset, who is creative, solution-oriented and sees opportunities rather than obstacles.
• experience in design of machinery.
• knowledge of FEA/FEM
• high-level analytical skill (Math/Calculation tools)
• knowledge of Modal/FFT vibration and torsional analysis.
• understanding of CFD
• knowledge of the marine sector and offshore sector
• experience with cross-organizational R&
  D teamwork / interdisciplinary group work.
