As an SCS Systems Engineer, you'll be an integral part of theSCADA &
Communication team, focusing on the business continuity and technical recovery plans for SCS systems in our existing windfarms. Your primary responsibilities will involve working with SCS systems, managing backup and restore processes, and ensuring cyber security measures are in place to protect our systems from potential threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to specify and drive the SCADA system, from design to final implementation.
  • Handle reporting within an agile development setup, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Manage all project-related activities required for the SCS delivery, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Implement the correct cyber security level in SCS systems to meet country-specific and global company requirements.
  • Define data interfaces between SCS systems in the project backend services.
  • Work closely with colleagues to maintain and enhance SCADA networks in production environments, adhering to general and company OT security requirements.
  • Ensure smooth operation through effective backup and restore processes.
  • Maintain proficiency in data communication dataflow to optimize system performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on the design, specification, configuration, and testing of Substation Control Systems.
  • Extensive experience with SCADA networks in production environments, including implementation of OT security requirements.
  • Strong understanding of backup and restore processes.
  • Proficiency in data communication dataflow.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience working in the renewable energy industry.
  • Knowledge of windfarm operations and technical systems.

Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work remotely for a 12-month assignment.
The ideal candidate will build new capabilities and improve the existing features of the company’s battery control software that will handle significant growth in telemetry data and kilowatts under management, will need a passion for creating amazing UX that is simple and performant, as well as building, maintaining, and enhancing new and existing code bases while working with other members of the agile dev team to build deploy and run software services.
Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design and develop cloud-based monitoring and control tools for defined software features that control and monitor battery based energy storage systems
  • Architect, design and develop IoT based web apps and features that monitor industrial sized battery energy storage systems with on-point system visualizations and alerting functions
  • Architect, design and develop third party API integrations to enable end to end workflows and real-time data streams for automated system control and monitoring
  • Optimize cloud based proprietary algorithms working with data scientist to improve the efficiency and operation of energy resources
  • Create intuitive and simple web interfaces for service technicians, customer and internal teams to improve operational efficiency of battery storage software
  • Defining and implementing code and system security best practices
  • Delivering software features that follow engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, vulnerability and security scans including unit testing and system operations.
  • Documenting and demonstrating solution designs by developing documentation, flowcharts, system and data flow diagrams, code comments including clear and efficient code
  • Implement and optimize software features for demand charge management, energy arbitrage and day-ahead market participation to increase the value of battery-based energy storage systems
  • Develop frontend features that delight renewable energy customers, service technicians, and NOC users

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Engineering and +7 years of related software development experience in developing industrial control dashboards or IoT systems
  • +7 years of experience with application development including cloud development preferably AWS – IoT Core, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda functions, cloud formation templates and container management (Docker)
  • Software development experience using Python and JavaScript
  • +5 year working with frontend frameworks – React, Angular
  • +3 years building or improving UX workflows as a software engineer
  • +2 years working with CI/CD automation software

The Senior Electrical Engineer will participate in the project teams during the FEED, the detailed engineering, the construction, mechanical completion, the commissioning and start-up phase of the projects. Responsible for high quality electrical engineering deliverables, prepared by the engineering contractors during FEED and Detail Engineering and reviews key vendor documents. The Sr. Electrical Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the electrical designs, identifies &
resolves non-compliances and works with others to resolve Electrical issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Review and approve project documents.
- Assuring consistent application of standards and manages the control of any justifiable deviations.
- Liaise effectively with other functions (Projects, Project Services, HSE, legal, Maintenance and Operations, e.G.).
- Accountable for the quality of technical work and for the technical integrity, constructability, functionality, safe operation and reliability of designs.
- Support electrical engineers of Engineering Contractors and Construction Contractors.

Overview

We have an opportunity for a Completions Engineer to be based in Antwerpen, Belgium;
the successful candidate(s) will be engaged on an initial 12 month contract, with the option for further contract renewals, supporting a portfolio of projects within the energies, process and decarbonization space.
Responsibilities

  • Setup and manage the completions database in line with the contract requirements and project phase
  • Coordinate data collection and requirements for handover dossiers
  • Split the inspection work scope by handover system
  • Own the completions software database and maintain the data and accuracy
  • Provide completions software user training to other users specific to their duties
  • Key in and manage the punch list in the database and follow up with all relevant personnel
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders
  • Coordinate with project personnel for outstanding requirements for system handover
  • Coordinate with planner for deadlines and status
  • Coordinate with customer Commissioning for priorities and completions input
  • Timely issue completion status reports as stipulated by the project


Skills / Qualifications

  • Relevant degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able and willing to work on project site
  • Strong quality focus on documentation and procedures
  • Strong affinity with data management, and database software
  • Previous working experience in the same or similar role
  • Be pro-active in getting the information required for completions
  • Prior experience with Hexagon Smart Completions (CMT) is a plus. Training will be provided
  • Familiar with engineering, construction, commissioning documentation and sequencing of works
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing. Dutch language is a plus
  • Intermediate Excel skills
