Your main responsibilities
In your new role as Senior Accountant you will be part of Lunar’s Finance department, and be located in Århus, a growing team that operates in significant growth, complexity and with great opportunities for both personal and professional development.
In this role you will have responsibility for our most complex entity in Lunar - Lunar Bank. You handle the invoices, accruals, reconciliations and closing processes for Lunar Bank. The team has a huge drive and great ambitions. Therefore, you will operate with great autonomy and you can contribute to building up, improving and controlling operational processes while ensuring correctness in our reported numbers.
Some of the main areas of responsibility will be:
- Invoice handling and payments
- Reconciliation of account statements, banks, etc
- Posting and controlling of intercompany agreements
- VAT reporting and controlling
- Month end closing
- Ad hoc analysis for processes optimization and automation
- Process descriptions and SOP’s
- Support the team with existing and new activities
Your skills and competencies

In order for you to be successful as a Senior Group Accountant in Lunar, here are some of the skills and competencies we believe will help you in your journey:
- Minimum 3 years' experience from a similar position
- Experienced in handling invoices, accruals and year-end reporting
- Experienced in Reconcilliations
- You are curious and proactive and good at analysing and conveying financial information in a simple manner
- You have a structural way of working for handling an ever-changing environment
- You have good analytical and IT skills with hands-on experience and skills in the MS Office tools, especially Excel
- You are fluent in both English and Danish
- You hold a degree in finance, economics or a similar discipline
Our team
As our new Senior Group Accountant, you will be part of our Accounting &
Operational Finance team, reporting to our Head of Accounting &
Operational Finance Ioana Chiriguti. The team currently comprises 6 amazing individuals working in Aarhus, who are focused on managing and driving our accounting and operational finance practices within the broader Finance-function, led by CFO Rie Ruby.
