An Exciting Role as Senior Category Manager - Polyethylene Materials

An exciting role as Senior Category Manager for the category of Polyethylene materials within our Direct Materials team is now vacant. The team consists of 9 highly engaged category managers, having an open, informal atmosphere where knowledge sharing, continuous development, and a genuine interest in creating real value-adding sourcing solutions to the business is in focus.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Be to:

1. 
   
2. Define and own all category management activities within your assigned categories
   
3. Be the supply market expert and partner to the business
   
4. Develop and regularly update the category strategy and project pipeline
   
5. Continuously develop the supplier portfolio to match the increasing requirements, securing sufficient external capacity
   
6. Promote supplier relationship management and key supplier partnerships
   
7. Negotiate valuable supply agreements, utilizing market intelligence on materials and cost drivers
   

Who You Are

University degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or similar. Minimum 5+ years and preferably 10+ years of proven experience and completed projects within category management of direct materials in a larger international manufacturing company. Comprehensive capability to engage large strategic suppliers. Curiosity, persistence, and a natural proficiency in cross-functional collaboration.
