The position

Manufacturing Development at NNPR is unique as it covers Analytical Development, Process Development, Raw Material development, Pilot Plant Production and Project Management.

You will be leading a department consisting of three teams:
Pilot Plant and Manufacturing Science &
Technology (PPMSAT), Development and Project Management. Through the PPMSAT and the Development team, you will become responsible for all product development of new and existing products and through the Project Management team, you will be responsible for the Product Portfolio across the entire organization. You will also be in charge of a Pilot Plant that is alternating between GMP production and non-GMP development activities.

You will be reporting directly to the Vice President of R&
D and you will be part of the R&
D Management team. Moreover, you will have close interaction with a large variety of stakeholders. You will be heading the Portfolio Steering Group that is overseeing all development activities for new products and you will be responsible for the tech transfer of all new products that are introduced by Research into NNPR. Through both the development and life cycle management projects you will have close collaboration with Manufacturing, QA, QC, Supply Chain and Sales &
Marketing.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Setting the strategic direction for the department ensuring that the prioritization and strategies are executed

Setting the strategic direction for the development portfolio across NNPR

Development of the department and the line managers, to ensure continuous development

The position requires a high level of complex stakeholder collaboration across the entire internal value chain, towards Novo Nordisk and towards our external Partners.

Qualifications

You will be a great asset to our group because you have:

Several years of leadership experience from a pharmaceutical company within manufacturing development, CMC and/or Production

Preferably, experience with leading leaders and with project and/or portfolio management

GMP experience

Experience navigating a complex and cross-functional stakeholder landscape

Professional proficiency in English and a relevant academic degree related to Life Science, such as bio-engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy or similar

With a strategic mindset, you can work independently to drive decisions and processes forward and thrive in a high-paced and dynamic workday, prioritizing and inspiring others. You have the ability to see the bigger picture and are able to keep an eye on the ball in collaboration with stakeholders. You take great pride in developing your department and you do so by coaching, working with the culture and implementing a best practice toolbox.

About the department

The Manufacturing Development department in R&
D Novo Nordisk Pharmatech A/S consists of 40 dedicated employees split into three teams. We are a part of R&
D that in total consistsof 60 employees.

We work in close collaboration with our customers to develop optimal purification solutions for new and existing molecules used for the treatment of many different conditions, as well as process enzymes crucial for bioprocessing of established and upcoming therapeutic modalities.
