Then you might our new Senior Manager to head our Technology Support function!

Your challenges
In this role you will join our Supply Technology organization consisting of 60 employees, and you will have approx. 8 direct employees (currently 4 but growing). You will report into Dennis Hansen, who is heading Supply Technology, and you will be based at our location in either Østbirk or Skjern.

Supply Technology consists of two Technology Centers (in Denmark and in France), a Business Support function and the Technology Support function which you will be heading. In total, an organization with approx. 60 employees.

Your main areas of responsibility will be within the following:

  • Optimization and Support:
    Enhance existing technology and provide daily support, including troubleshooting and resolving breakdowns.
  • OT Security Management:
    Oversee OT security projects, ensuring compliance through audits and minimizing gaps.
  • Standards Development:
    Develop, maintain, and enforce production technology standards and technology purchase standards.
  • Sustainability:
    Ensure all new equipment designs reduce CO2 emissions and consumption.

Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Build up a support organization for break-down support and optimization on equipment built by our own Technology Center in Denmark and France.
  • Develop, maintain, support and assess Production Technical Standards and CAPEX investment model.
  • Lead “Design for Zero” track in our sustainability journey (zero carbon).
  • Lead OT security building the new strategy for OT Security inkluding assessment of the VELUX production companies and follow up on progress in reducing the gap on the OT security deviations.
  • Drive communication and increase our internal social media presence.

In this role, you should consider approx. 20 days of travel per year, primarily in Europe.

Your Qualifications
To be the ideal candidate for this role, you

  • Possess deep technical knowledge with the ability to discuss and translate technical details into business language.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Bring extensive experience in effective stakeholder management.
  • You are proficient in English – spoken and written.

It is seen as a benefit if you bring knowledge about ISO 50001 (Energy) as well as digitalization in an Operating Technology environment.

As a person, you enjoy working on the strategic and tactic level but your ‘can do’ attitude, problem solving skills and pragmatic mindset also ensures that you get things done! You are result-oriented, know how to motivate people to work towards a common goal, and you are not afraid to challenge status quo. In addition, you are a service minded individual, whose focus is on reaching targets via collaboration.

Through the partnership with WWF, VELUX finances forest protection and restoration projects that capture the equivalent of our historical emissions from operations since 1941 and up until 2041. The verified carbon units generated by the forest projects are retired and donated as a contribution to the host countries’ national climate target under the Paris agreement.
