The position

One of our top priorities across the strategic sourcing discipline areas, Global Strategic Outsourcing &
Devices (GSOD) and Strategic Sourcing Inbound Materials &
Services (SSIMS), is todevelop our specialist perspective on supplier sustainability, and within this topic, engage with stakeholders and develop data management excellence across the units. As our Sustainability Manager, you partner closely with your colleagues in a Sustainability and Risk Management advisory team of 8 people, who together are setting the direction for the sourcing units’ work with suppliers on the sustainability agenda. You will be engaged in various initiatives related to our environmental responsibilities in the collaboration with our suppliers, where priorities are driven by ambitious internal and external target setting and commitments on sustainability. To deliver on priorities, you collaborate closely with a diverse set of stakeholders across sourcing units, suppliers, and corporate sustainability functions. Depending on your skills and preferences, your key tasks involve:
Developing processes, roles, and responsibilities for working with suppliers on sustainability, including strategic direction, setting expectations, and oversight Providing sustainability insights to category managers and negotiators regarding suppliers and raw materials Assessing impacts and best practices to ensure compliance with upcoming sustainability legislative frameworks Defining and implementing relevant sustainability data points and progress tracking on corporate scope 3 targets Driving capability building and creating communication materials for both internal and external use Qualifications To be considered for this position, we imagine you to:
Hold a master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field, e.G. sustainability, supply chain, procurement, business, or engineering Possess practical experience in sustainability or procurement project management, supply chain, or business development, ideally in an international setting Demonstrate a strong passion for sustainability in a corporate context, along with knowledge of sustainability frameworks, such as SBTI Display fluency in both written and spoken English As a person, you possess an analytical mindset and a strong passion for structure, along with adept stakeholder management skills, both internally and with suppliers, and a clear communication style. An engaging team-player, you enjoy sharing knowedlge with your colleagues and leverage each other's abilities, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. You thrive in a multicultural and high-pace environment and bring a 'can-do' attitude and a healthy sense of humour to your work, even when the pressure is on. About the department GSOD and SSIMS are the central sourcing units in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division. We are commercially responsible for ensuring that we have suppliers in place that can support Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. Through collaboration with our international suppliers, we ensure availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products that help millions of people around the world to live with chronic diseases. You will be part of the Risk &
Supplier Sustainabilityteam, where we drive cross-units initiatives, define best practice by learning from stakeholders in- and outside Novo Nordisk, and contribute with value-adding specialist knowledge acting as center of excellence to the other departments.
