The Job
As Head of Compliance &
Legal at MapsPeople, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our company's interests and ensuring we operate within legal bounds globally. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead a team of skilled legal and compliance professionals, ensuring that our operations adhere to the highest standards of compliance.

Primary Tasks:

• Develop and implement best-in-class policies and processes.
• Provide expert advice to management and business units on compliance and legal matters.
• Ensure compliance with product regulations, GDPR, export control, and trade sanctions.
• Oversee enterprise risk management and manage key agreements for the group.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to structure tasks and keep the bigger picture in mind, even when faced with challenges. Excellent communication skills and a commercial mindset are essential, as is the ability to inspire and set direction.

Professional Background:

• A legal background with solid experience in delivering legal support to an international industry, preferably as in-house counsel.

Personal Skills
We are looking for someone with extraordinary personal drive, thoroughness, and excellent cooperation skills. You should be curious, a fast learner, and possess the ability to prioritize effectively. An interest in technical details will help you understand the nature of our innovative solutions.
