We are currently looking for a passionate Senior Vendor Manager who will be an integral part of the procurement team who will partner with our key business owners and suppliers.

About the role

The Senior Vendor Manager is a newly established role in the bank’s growing Procurement team. You will be reporting to the Head of Procurement and Outsourcing and play an integral and impactful role in building the foundations of the bank’s supplier relationship management programme.

What you will be doing

  • Partner with business owners for end-to-end supplier lifecycle management, supporting key stakeholders in ongoing regular reporting and supplier relationship development
  • Drive exceptional vendor performance through continuous monitoring against agreed SLAs and KPIs and identifying cost and services improvement opportunities
  • Develop and implement processes and toolkits to accelerate the vendor management programme, including supplier rationalisation and optimisation, third party risk management and supplier governance
  • Create and implement procedures and processes that align with regulations impacting third party supplier management which includes but not limited to CSSF 22/806, DORA, and its relevant equivalent in other jurisdictions which the bank operates (Singapore, Liechtenstein, Australia etc)
  • Coordinate vendor activities, resolve issues, and build strong relationships between vendors and the bank
  • Negotiate effective commercial and contractual arrangements with existing suppliers
  • Demonstrate effective engagement across a diverse set of stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes– IT, Operations, Business AML, Legal, Risk, Governance, Finance, Compliance etc.

What we are looking for

  • At least 7 years of professional experience in areas such as vendor management, third party risk management, sourcing, category management, outsourcing or IT operations
  • Good understanding of IT concepts (e.G. cloud computing, cybersecurity etc.). A multidisciplinary background would be an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong and successful working relationships both with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of negotiating, implementing and managing outsourcing engagements with large enterprise suppliers, as a plus, in the financial sector. Knowledge of market trends, vendors and their pricing models, service delivery and performance management, and relevant innovations
  • Experience in the design, implementation and continuous improvement of services, processes and tools in the areas of vendor management and relationship management.
  • Knowledge of regulations such as DORA, EBA, CSSF, GDPR, EUDPR and its equivalent in the bank’s jurisdictions i.E. MAS, FMA, PRA/ FCA
  • Excellent attention to detail, delivers consistent outstanding customer service and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage disputes efficiently creating consensus among stakeholders
  • Demonstrate distinguished sense of ownership with the ability to work in autonomy
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. If you master other relevant languages, it will be an assetThe position will be based at Banking Circle’s headquarters in Luxembourg or at our Denmark branch in Copenhagen.
