Bunker Holding has a comprehensive legal set-up to ensure that we comply with local requirements and regulations where we operate. This also includes new requirements in connection with the introduction of low- and zero carbon fuels.
Responsibilities
As our new Sustainability and Compliance Controller, you will report to our Head of Tax, who plays a vital role in the new fuels agenda. Situated in our office in Aalborg, you will have close collaboration with your local colleagues as well as colleagues around the world.
You will be functioning as internal controller of compliance-related tasks as well as assisting with design and implementation of new compliance set-ups, especially related to sustainability. Your tasks will among others include the following:
- Provide specialized support with design and implementation of cross-group control procedures.
- Set-up, management, and day-to-day operation of internal control environment and internal training.
- Controlling of documentation required within existing and new fuels;
and - Participatein internal and external audits.
- Act as internal adviser towards our sales teams within compliance and new fuels.
About you
In line with this role, we envision a candidate with a background within accounting, auditing or finance, or experience within new fuels, sustainability, and compliance. Whether or not you are just starting you career or you have experience is not decisive.
It is important that you possess knowledge of a control environment e.G., COSO Framework, and is interested in building up your skills within ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) and sharing your knowledge with your colleagues world-wide.
Additionally, we are looking for a person who:
- Has a good understanding of IT and acknowledge that it is a crucial part of the business processes.
- Are curious about international sustainability legislation.
- Is fluent in English both verbal and in writing;
and - Excels in relationship-building and thrives in collaborative environments spanning diverse organizational levels and functions.
